The concept and brain child of stalwarts of Allumini of Anantapur Engineering College to form "SIXTIES CLUB" took birth in the second half of eighties. It has grown into adulthood, having overcome all the childhood problems with the active participation and concerted efforts, spade work and strong foundation of several allumini and finally has taken the shape of "ANECAA - Hyderabad" chapter in the second half of last decade of 20th century.

The membership grew in size gradually and so as the activities. Time had come for its transformation in to a full fledged Association and converted as the existing Alumni Association, Hyderabad. Need was also felt for registering the body with appropriate by-laws. Again with the pioneering work of Sivakumar, the Association got registered in 1998 as Anantapur Engineering College Alumni Association, Hyderabad (ANECAA, Hyderabad).

The Association was functioning with limited resources, mostly personal contributions of a few. Major fund raising took place through conducting a successful seminar on Independent Power Plants, thanks to the painstaking efforts of M Sankaraiah,B Ranga Reddy, P Murali Mohan, Varahala Rao and other members from BHEL, Ramachandrapuram.

Over the years, the Association grew in size with present strength of around 400 members due to relentless membership drive and devising interesting activities by all members."
