  1. Secretary informed members that ANECAA could obtain a new office premises at Flat No: 401, Pearal Creak Apts,Somagi Guda,Hyderabad through the courtesy of Prof K Rajagopal, former President of the Association. The Committee expressed gratitude for the nice gesture., It was decided that meetings of the Management Committee would take place mostly in the new office premises.

  2. After thorough discussions and deliberations the following were decided.

    1. The Association would follow the financial years as the basis for the tenure in line with the audit requirements

    2. Membership should be increased to at least 500 from the present 446 by the end of the present Committee’s tenure (by March 31, 2012). In this context it was noted that among the 446 existing on the membership list many are annual members, who will cease, legally speaking, to be members unless their membership is renewed by paying the annual fee of Rs 100. Unfortunately all the ANECAA members are not renewing their membership on a year to year basis. As such the Committee decided to continue with the efforts of encouraging all the existing and new members to take life membership by paying a onetime fee of Rs 1000.

    3. Vice-President (Membership Drive) was requested to update members list indicating clearly annual and life members.

    4. Treasurer briefed the Committee on the financial position of the Association from the year 2001 to 2009. It was noted with great satisfaction that the position was improving year after year and the corpus in the form of fixed deposits and the interest accruing thereon was not disturbed in the last 10 years and all the activities were being conducted without spending from the corpus. The amount available as on 31/3/09 is Rs 7,87,675/-……. Excluding an amount of Rs 300000 received towards Awards and Scholarships which is deposited in a separate account.

    5. Vice-President (Resource mobilization) indicated a goal of mobilizing Rs 10 lakhs towards Awards & Scholarships during the present tenure. He informed that he would present a Road Map for the same.

    6. There was a strong feeling that the awards and scholarships should be enhanced. It was noted that this aspect could be further examined based on the resources collected/generated. Vice-President(Awards & Scholarships) promised to prepare a approach paper for the Awards & Scholarships considering all views expressed by the donors and by others in AGMs, Committee meetings etc.

  3. Permanent office for ANECAA.
    It is felt that this issue can be perused in due course.

  4. Organizing projects for final year students:

    Members felt that this will be a good gesture to the students of Anantapur Engineering College Sri Ramakrishnaiah informed that he helped some students in the past.

    Prof.G. Sankar Rao,Sri.R.Ramakrishnaiah,and Sri.G.G.Chowdary, will study the feasibility and suggest ways

  5. Committee desired that at least two programmes should be conducted every year.

    The programme committee will come out with details in the next meeting.

  6. Committee deliberated possibility of conducting technical /knowledge sharing programmes either independently or in collaboration with institutes like Institution of Engineers. This is to be examined further.

  7. Sri Ramakrishnaiah informed that some more space is available in the website for advertisements and members ‘s efforts are invited to get advertisements for better revenue of the website.

  8. Secretary was requested to e- mail to the managing committee members the contact details of the members for better communication.
