General body meeting of ANECAA Hyderabad was held on 20-12-09 at AP Genco building located at Kalyannagar .The meeting was attended by large No. of members.

In the absence of Prof.Rajagopal, president of ANECAA Mr. R.Kalidas, senior vice president presided over the meeting At the outset Mr. Rajagopal welcomed the members for the meeting.

Mr.R.Kalidas briefed the members about the agenda items and events of the past one year and the plans for the future.

K A Ramayya ,Secretary gave detailed report of the events that happened in the last one year regarding membership growth, development of website, printing of telephone directory, get-togethers, General body meetings, Merit awards to the toppers of College of Engineering Anantapur and financial position of ANECAA Hyderabad. He mentioned about the major donation received from Mr. Munikrishna of Parashakti cements and opening of separate account for merit awards. He also mentioned about advertisement given by Parashakti cements and requested others to follow with similar advertisements

Mr. G Venkateswarlu ,Treasurer gave details of accounts, bank balance etc. He further requested the members to visit the web site to view the audited accounts of the Association. Accounts were passed unanimously by the General Body.

Merit awards were presented to toppers of CEA for the year 2008-09. The awards consists of cash prize, citation and a medal. The event was colourful and historic as such awards were given for the first time. The awards were given through the hands of Mr. Munikrishna and Dr Venkatarama Reddy.

Awardees:

Mr Ravindra Reddy, Chairman, MTAR Technologies gave a generous donation of Rs 2,00,000 to the Association’s Award Scheme. He complimented for the Awards initiative. He further suggested to institute scholarships for economically backward meritorious candidates for which he will support through further donations.

The Awardees in their response expressed their happiness and appreciated the initiative taken by ANECAA Hyderabad.

President in his closing remarks summed up and expressed his belief that ANECAA Hyderabad would make further progress on all the fronts.
